What mythical snakes are portrayed as an instrument of death in folklore and a symbol of evil?
Evils snakes always seem to slither their way into most of our global folklore from tales of how the snake came to have no legs as to be portrayed as a carrier of evil and in rare cases a snake is sometimes cast as a good thing. Well in this case I am going to research on snake folklore where mythical snake creatures have the ability of taking people's life such as being symbolizing an instrument of death. Snake's eyes are known to human to be split and kind of pretty darn scary and in some folklore they have the ability of taking your life if you have happen to stare into the eyes of a snake. So slither along this journey as we learn the use of snakes in folklore.
Folklore Project
In our Pre-AP class we were assigned a folklore project in which each individual student had to design a page with one folklore theme some people did the wailing lady or bigfoot and we had to find some stories pertaining to our research question. So it's called the Global Folklore Project and global because this project is to attempt to explore folk narratives from around the globe. We have research questions to narrow down our research to a specific topic. And once our websites were properly formatted we had to link our folklore with our peers folklore and find similarities which broadens the the folklore aspect as we find the connections and allegories.
